Video Specialists demonstrate proficiency in camera specifications and fluency in adjusting framing, aperture, ISO, focus, and other fundamentals. These experienced technicians will frequently share their knowledge with student technicians, providing educational benefit to the student experience in addition to faithfully producing Conservatory events. They will collaborate to improve and maintain the video equipment inventory, creatively working to improve equipment usage. These operators will frequently lead multi-camera productions, communicating with camera operators as they facilitate video mixing for the livestream and director’s cut of performances and events.
The ideal candidate will meet these challenges, display proactivity in taking on exciting projects, all while adding new skills and experiences to their portfolio. The Video Specialist should enjoy working in a collaborative environment where creativity, initiative, passion, artistry, and empathy are highly valued. This position is offered on a casual basis, with hours and shifts varying as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Video Production or equivalent experience
1–2 years of related professional experience
Deep knowledge of the use of video cameras (Sony preferred), video cables/ accessories, and multi-camera recording/streaming
Solid communication and interpersonal skills required
The ability to work well with diverse audiences, manage workload independently at times, and oversee ongoing projects concurrently
Availability to work evenings and weekends
Hourly Rate: $21
