This position is with an Ameriprise Financial Franchise owner.

Job Description

Initiate timely and accurate trades as directed by the Financial Planners. Backup for check deposit all check into the correct accounts daily. Set up timely and accurate money transfers, recurrent payments and other financial transactions for the clients. Run cash and other reports as needed by the practice. Assist clients by opening new accounts as directed by the Financial Planners. Correct risk tolerance settings after trade completion. Contact clients as necessary to provide updates for transactions or clarification of required information. Other duties as assigned as assigned by management.

Scope of Responsibility:

Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely transfer of money into and out of client accounts. All money movement comes from the direction of the clients & / or the Financial Planners.

Decision Making:

The Operations Specialist is subject to the requirements of general policies and directives from management.

Authority:

The Operations Specialist receives general directions and communicates issues or concerns to management.

Communications:

The Operations Specialist requires collaborative communication to positively affect operating results.

Education / Skills / Knowledge:

  • Requires High School diploma or GED.

  • Requires strong understanding of verbal and written instructions.

  • Requires critical thinking skills, including intermediate arithmetic.

  • Requires communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Requires organization skills with accurate and attention to detail.

Certifications Required:

It would be preferable to have FINRA SIE, Series 7 & Series 63.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

* Physical Activity: Requires more than two-thirds of time speaking/hearing; 1/3 to 2/3 of time standing, walking, sitting or climbing/balancing; less than one-third of time using hands/fingers to handle and/or feel, reaching with hands and arms, or stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling.

* Lifting: Requires lifting to ten pounds one-fifth of time.

* Vision: Requires accurate close and distance vision.

* Environment: Requires working in a quiet office environment.

* Noise: Requires exposure to low noise.
