As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your presence and routine patrols support a welcoming atmosphere, while your strong communication and customer service skills contribute to positive interactions. Job Schedule:
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related incidents.
- Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals from accessing restricted areas.
- Document and report any security-related incidents or unusual activities according to site protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and visitors to address concerns and provide assistance as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 1 year of security experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required and must meet AU Driver Policy requirements.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
