Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.The Contracts/Principal Contract Administrator will join the new and rapidly growing Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) contracts team. This position will act as the primary interface with business partners and prime customers for proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and contract administration.
This requisition may be filled as a Contract Administrator or Principal Contract Administrator and will be located in Linthicum, MD and expected to work a hybrid schedule.
What You Will Get To Do:
The Contract Administrator/Principal Contract Administrator will manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Additionally, this position will ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood, ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes, and maintain historical information.
Responsibilities:

• Participates in early acquisition activities such as NDA and Teaming Agreement review and analysis.
• Reviews and analyzes customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to understand the Statement of Work (SOW) and contract requirements and obligations and advise the program team on those requirements and obligations.
• Oversees contract performance including schedules and deliverables, maintain compliant contractual documentation/correspondence, and collaborate with the program team to recommend and complete actions to ensure satisfactory program performance.
• Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
• Compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.
• Collaborates effectively with other functional groups (finance, global supply chain, operations, legal, etc.) during all phases of the contract lifecycle and effectively interfaces with customer counterparts.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications as a Contracts Administrator (level 2):

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of Business, Law or related work experience or Master's degree. Will consider 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree requirement.
• Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Teams.
• Working knowledge of commercial contracting.
• Strong communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance
• US citizenship required
Basic Qualifications as a Principal Contracts Administrator (level 3):

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of Business, Law or related work experience or Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience. Will consider 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree requirement.
• Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Teams
• Administration of contracts and proposals within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Negotiating experience
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
• US citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:

• Familiarity with U. S. Government procurement regulations (FAR/DFAR)
• Prior experience with Fixed Price and Cost Type contracts, Other Transaction (OT) Agreements, and commercial contracting

• Professional experience in a regulated industry such as Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, or Telecommunications
• Active DoD Clearance

Salary Range: $70,600.00 - $105,800.00Salary Range 2: $87,000.00 - $130,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
