Product Manager

Position Overview
Our client, a leader in the Lighting Design industry, is seeking a Product Merchandise Manager to join their team. This will be up to 40 hours per week, onsite 2-4x a week in Rolling Meadows, IL. As the Product Merchandise Manager, you will oversee day-to-day tasks, including sample inventory and planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage samples and inventory for a highly SKU-intensive business and in-house manufacturing
• Maintain inventory levels based on open-to-buy, inventory turn, sales plans, and key budget/financial metrics
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate product launches
• Help monitor and analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and market trends
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Create and manage buy plans and receipt plans to ensure optimal inventory levels
• Develop and implement store allocation strategies to maximize sales and minimize excess inventory
• Conduct regular inventory audits and make recommendations for improvements
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions

Qualifications

• Experience with merchandising, preferably in a highly SKU-intensive business
• Interest in in-house manufacturing 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and retail merchandising software
• Knowledge of lighting design and related products is a plus

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
