





Sr. UX Designer – Mobile Payments
Pay: $97-100 / hourly as W2, full benefits offered
Location: New York City – hybrid
Length of assignment: Approved through end of 2025, possible extension into 2026
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $97 – 100 / hourly as a W2 employee.
Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Our product is the leader of mobile payments helping hundreds of thousands small businesses to get paid in person. It is the easiest, safest and more reliable way to accept card payments.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead the design and development of integrated omnichannel experiences for merchants who operate both online and in physical retail environments. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in unifying previously separate product systems into a cohesive ecosystem that seamlessly supports merchants across all sales channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advocate for merchant needs at all levels of the organization, balancing business requirements with user experience
- Design intuitive migration experiences that help merchants transition from legacy systems to the unified platform
- Conduct user research with diverse merchant segments to inform design decisions
- Create comprehensive user journeys and workflows for complex systems
- Develop information architecture that accommodates the complexity of omnichannel operations
- Experience in inventory and catalog management across channels
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define and prioritize features
- Translate business and technical requirements into elegant user experiences
- Lead design reviews and iteration cycles based on user feedback and performance metrics
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of UX design experience, with demonstrated expertise in complex system design
- Strong portfolio showcasing experience with enterprise applications, particularly in retail or e-commerce
- Proven track record of successfully unifying disparate systems through thoughtful UX
- Experience designing for both digital and physical retail environments
- Excellent communication skills and ability to advocate for design decisions
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools
- Knowledge of design systems and component-based design methodologies
- Ongoing support of the Integration of the Mobile Payment Product suite into the revised merchant ecosystem. Inclusive of, but not limited to, core merchants experiences, insights, reporting, activation and onboarding and the expansion of functionality into Catalogue and Inventory Management.
