In this key role, you will:
- Conduct laboratory procedures, perform chemical analyses, and interpret results to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
- Operate and maintain advanced laboratory instrumentation including Ion Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, and Spectrophotometers.
- Calibrate and maintain equipment, manage lab inventory, and contribute to the development of testing protocols.
- Work both independently and collaboratively, offering guidance to assistants while ensuring high safety and quality standards.
- Utilize software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access to document results and manage lab data.
- Apply your knowledge of chemical principles and laboratory techniques in real-world environmental testing.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow guidelines while adapting to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with water and wastewater testing protocols and the ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, operating valves, and working around lab equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships within and outside the organization.
- Commitment to accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement in a regulated laboratory environment.
