Job Description:

Apex Systems is currently assisting one of the largest Aviation companies in the country with their search for NDT Technicians to join their team. You will be focused on the non-destructive inspection (NDI) and non-destructive testing (NDT) of carbon fiber components, primarily in the aviation sector. Title: NDT Technician

Duration: 12+ Month Contract to Hire or Perm

Location: Onsite in North Charleston

Pay: $40/HR


Summary:

The project involves non-destructive inspection (NDI) and non-destructive testing (NDT) of carbon fiber components, primarily in the aviation sector. The role requires writing NDT procedures and techniques, inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The candidate must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.


Day to Day Responsibilities:

Inspection and Testing:

Leverage call boards and review workload as it comes in.

Inspect carbon fiber components, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.

Perform non-destructive testing using methods such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Eddy Current Testing.

Procedure Writing:

Write and update NDT procedures and techniques.

Ensure procedures comply with industry standards and regulations.

Documentation and Reporting:

Read through statements of work and fill out inspection reports.

Document findings and communicate results to relevant stakeholders.


Experience Required:

3+ years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test) - methods: UT is primary.

3+ years of experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units - carbon fiber components.

3+ years of experience writing NDT procedures and techniques.
