Volt is immediately hiring for Health Information Specialist III in Baldwin Park, CA!
As a Health Information Specialist III you will:
- Manage and maintain healthcare data and medical records, including:
- Patient symptoms
- Examinations and test results
- Diagnoses and treatment plans
- Treatment outcomes and reports
- Develop and oversee health record indexing, storage, and retrieval systems
- Collect, classify, store, and analyze patient information across various healthcare settings:
- Hospitals
- Doctor's offices
- Nursing homes
- Rehabilitation centers
- Outpatient care centers
- Hospices
- Compile, code, index, verify, and analyze permanent medical records
- Provide data to support:
- Medical research
- Cost control initiatives
- Quality improvement efforts
- Ensure all recordkeeping complies with:
- Medical and administrative standards
- Ethical and legal requirements
- Regulatory guidelines
- Maintain accurate, complete, and computerized patient records
- Ensure timely and secure processing of patient health information
- Print and mail required documents as part of daily responsibilities
- Utilize EPIC software, including experience with EPIC Release of Information
- Perform duties on-site with potential for frequent standing
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years experience in similar role, experience using EPIC for release of information, and sufficient experience with Microsoft Office.
- HS Diploma required. College preferred.
