JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the Senior IT Compliance Analyst direction, the IT Compliance Analyst ensures that Apex complies with all relevant IT regulations, standards, and required certifications. This includes both domestic and foreign. Domestic requirements can be federal, state, and or local, while foreign requirements are those countries where Apex Systems, currently and in the future perform work. The IT Compliance Analyst also reviews all 3rd and 4th party contracts and requirements to ensure that Apex both meets customers needs but also that all vendors meet Apexs requirements.

Auditing Organizational Compliance: An IT Compliance Analyst’s job is to audit a companys information technology business practices to ensure they follow pertinent regulations. Such audits may occur annually or at other intervals such as the yearly Sarbanes-Oxley audit and may include reviewing documentation and other records and interviewing executives and employees.
Resolve Audit, Compliance or Certifications Issues: In instances where an organization is not in compliance with a regulation, set of regulations, or certification, the IT Compliance Analyst must identify what must be done to come into compliance. In addition, an IT Compliance Analyst is charged with creating a plan to implement any needed changes.
This position will also be vital in meeting and exceeding compliance with current and future IT narratives. Duties also include assisting with all IT audits and risk assessments and reviewing all required data and evidence presented to internal and external auditors.
This position will also assist the VP- IT Compliance with ongoing audit and compliance request.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university or relevant work experience.

1+ years of relevant experience in a corporate environment, preferred
Ability to write and modify SQL code to help create automated controls
Have familiarity with infrastructure related to systems including Windows and Linux, Oracle, SQL
Leads analysis of control deficiencies expansion and refinement of documentation for controls
Exercises judgment and critical thinking to influence business partners
Execution of various special projects and corporate initiatives
Clearly and concisely write and present audit results to manager
Complete all assignments within budgeted timeframe
Build and maintain relationships and effectively communicate, as key audit partner, with all levels of management, other members of the Internal Audit team, and external auditors
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
This position will be a hybrid role and requires 3 days in-office per week, based in Richmond, VA
Preferred: Knowledge or prior work with IT Audit, Certifications, and IT Regulatory requirements.
Preferred: Understand IT controls around technical environments and evaluation of risk-based controls across functional IT areas including networks, firewalls, vulnerability management, systems development, information security, database management and project management
This position will be a hybrid role and requires at least 3 days in-office per week
