Job Description:

Location: Onsite at USAA Campus, San Antonio, TX

Employment Type: 6-month Contract-to-hire

Certification Required: CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional)

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Technical Business Analyst with a strong background in the finance domain and a passion for data democratization and marketplace solutions. This role will be embedded within a dynamic team focused on managing data products, governance procedures, and driving business value through data-driven decision-making.

• Act as Product Owner for the “Data Sharing” data product and application.
• Gather and document business requirements through working sessions with cross-functional teams.
• Design and implement data-driven solutions to address business challenges.
• Manage and update requirements in JIRA.
• Create and maintain governance procedures, monitoring controls, and job aids.
• Identify business value, cost savings, and operational impact of proposed solutions.
• Communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Adapt to shifting priorities and meet tight deadlines with a proactive, learning-oriented mindset.

• 5+ years of experience in the finance domain, specifically in developing governance procedures and monitoring controls for data democratization and marketplace data products.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst working with web applications, SaaS platforms, or similar technologies.
• 3–5 years of experience collaborating with product managers, engineers, and designers to define analysis goals and interpret results.
• Strong techno-functional skills with the ability to translate business needs into viable technical solutions.
• Proven experience in business analysis, product ownership, and stakeholder engagement.
