Job Description:

Location: Charlotte, NC

Duration: 12 months+

Pay Rate Range: $60-$65


Details:

The individual would be working within a global Application Support Engineering Organization; as part of a small global Tech Strategy team whose purpose is to establish a unified tooling and automation strategy that enables scalable, consistent, and efficient solutions. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the efforts aligned to the wider program. Work collaboratively with developers, product managers, engineers, and other subject matter experts to create clear and concise technical documents, including user guides, API documentation, blueprints, and best practice standards.

  • Create, edit, and maintain user manuals, developer guides, release notes, and other technical documentation.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly language.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and product teams to gather technical information.
  • Develop and manage content in documentation platforms such as Confluence
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and meets quality and style standards.
  • Update documentation with new product releases and changes.
  • Work with UX and support teams to improve content discoverability and usability.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in documentation tools such as HTML / CSS, MS Office, GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint
  • Familiarity with software development processes and agile methodologies.
  • Ability to read source code or familiarity with APIs and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is advantageous.
