Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain developer-focused documentation, especially for APIs and developer tools.
• Leverage existing templates and sandbox environments to document onboarding processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure accurate, clear, and useful documentation.
• Primary focus will be on supporting the Bryte IQ team, with potential to assist other projects as needed.
• Occasionally contribute to broader content needs (e.g., landing pages, intake process documentation).

Technical Skills & Tools

Key tools and skills identified by the previous contractor and HM:

• Markdown
• Git / GitLab
• API documentation (RESTful APIs, OAuth 2.0)
• Postman
• HTML / CSS / JavaScript (basic understanding)
• Confluence (especially with macros)
• Lucidchart (basic use)

Experience Level

• Preferred: Candidates with direct experience writing for developer tools and APIs, especially developer portals.
• Acceptable: More junior candidates with strong foundational API knowledge and the ability to ramp up quickly using existing resources.
• If the current rate doesn’t attract the right experience level, Candice is open to reopening the role at a higher rate, though this would require a longer approval process so isn’t ideal.
