The USMAEG Medical Insights & Analytics Sr Manager will partner with the Director, Medical Insights Digital & Analytics Strategy (MIDAS) to drive and execute on analyzing and evaluating US MAEG data for insights. They will manage and oversee insight capability to ensure each Medical Imperative is a success. They will work on enhancing processes and implementing new processes where needed. They will be responsible for working cross-functionally to build the insights strategy, evaluate data sources, use our AI driven insights platform to identify potential insights, and lead insights meetings to develop insights that inform our Medical Strategy and Tactics. In addition, they will provide support to the Director of MIDAS and MAEG Leadership on any ad hoc request for data.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the USMAEG Neurology TA through the process of the creation insight strategy, collection, analysis, and communication.
Subject matter expert on Neurology Insights across USMAEG
Translate overarching therapeutic strategy to Key Insight Topics
Evaluate and discover internal and external data sources to support data collection for analysis as part of the USMAEG medical insights process
Lead regularly scheduled cross-functional insight meetings and discussion
Generate monthly insight reports for USMAEG Community
Contribute to the Medical Quarterly Business Reviews by identifying actionable insights to facilitate decision-making and address unmet needs and implementation gaps
Participate in internal meetings to remain current on relevant Brand, Medical Affairs and overall Company strategy
Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional groups to cultivate a positive relationship
Maintain scientific knowledge, including labelling, associated therapeutic areas, relevant literature, treatment guidelines and competitor information, through ongoing internal and external data sources (e.g., training, conferences)
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Direct experience and knowledge of qualitative and quantitative data sources that may lead to actionable insights
Capable of applying both analytic and synthetic methods to identify any major data or temporal trends in generated insights
Able to work effectively with niche external providers of data and/or technology
Familiar with the reporting, utilization, and feedback process
Detail-oriented and ability to manage various projects, solve problems, deliver on commitments and work with multidisciplinary teams
Must be a strong team player/ demonstrates flexibility and a positive attitude
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Scientific degree preferable (BS/MS/PharmD/MD/PhD) with Academic training in Data Science
8+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical or agency setting supporting Medical Affairs
Direct experience with the medical insight generation process and function-related process specifics (+3 years)
Prior experience in Neurology or Rare Disease preferred
Strong scientific/medical written and verbal communication skills required
