Position Overview:
We are seeking caring, dependable, and team-oriented Assistant Teachers for our Elementary I (grades 1–3) and Elementary II (grades 4–6) classrooms. The ideal candidates will demonstrate a deep respect for children and bring a high level of professionalism and flexibility to their work in supporting the lead teacher and fostering a calm, engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in maintaining a prepared Montessori environment
• Support individual and group learning under the guidance of the lead teacher
• Model respectful, positive behavior and communication
• Help with classroom management, materials preparation, and daily routines
• Supervise children during work periods, transitions, recess, and meals
• Collaborate with the classroom team and communicate professionally with colleagues and families

Preferred Qualifications:

• Interest in or experience with Montessori education
• Bachelor’s degree or some college coursework in education or child development (preferred but not required)
• Previous experience working with children in a classroom or similar setting
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and flexibility in daily responsibilities
