Senior Solutions Architect
Hybrid (Canada) | 6-Month Rolling Contract | E-commerce / Grocery Tech
Apex Systems is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to support a leading grocery technology client that is revolutionizing the way people shop. This is a high-impact, client-facing role ideal for someone with strong API integration experience, scripting/automation skills (SQL), and a passion for solving complex technical challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end solution design for enterprise retail partners
- Identify system and business needs, generate solution proposals, and drive execution through to launch
- Act as a liaison between internal Product & Engineering teams and external stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with technical and business partners
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the client’s platform and external-facing APIs
- Develop tools, documentation, and processes to scale solution delivery
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Architect
- Strong experience with API integrations and scripting (SQL)
- Proven success in client-facing or consulting roles
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience collaborating with Technical Project Managers
- Strong sense of ownership and problem-solving mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in e-commerce, SaaS, or startup environments
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, Python, or similar technologies
- Experience working with third-party vendors (e.g., POS systems, loyalty programs)
Work Environment:
This is a Flex First team. Employees have the flexibility to work from home, an office, or anywhere they do their best work. For GTA-based candidates, optional in-office collaboration days are held on Thursdays at 190 Liberty, Toronto.
