In this position, you will participate in BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, where you will Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. The LEAP Program will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development opportunities, and network with our business leaders and the other students in the program.

This is a summer position that has a typical timeframe of late May - August. Internships and Co-ops may be shortened or extended at the discretion of the company. In this position, you will be supporting the People & Culture and Enterprise Shared Services HR team in Falls Church, VA onsite. In this role, you will support the future of the Workplace Communities Project and bring a passion for Human Resources and Project Management to support a team of high-performing HR Business Partners and Culture Specialists with relevant projects.

As a Human Resources Intern, you will:

• Collaborate with members from various HR functions to learn more about the different facets of human resources
• Work directly with HRBP team members to deliver on programs
• Participate in the company-wide internship program
• Potentially shadow HRBPs on employee relations activities
• Learn about and contribute to our employee onboarding practices
• Other duties as assigned or required

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree with a focus in Human Resource Management or other related fields
• Rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
• Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize projects with varying deadlines

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Previous HR related internship experience or coursework
• Completed at least two years of an undergraduate degree

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $40335 - $54497

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
