Responsibilities

• The Lab Technician supports lab maintenance, performs routine cleaning, and assits in general lab operation. This is an entry level role to provide support for scientists and operations in Protein Sciences.
• Will be trained in their basic responsibilities and given standard protocols so that they consistently perform their duties with supervision.
• Receives training on additional tasks when their day-to-day tasks are mastered.
• Develops a basic understanding of recombinant proteins and tagging schemes, protein expression protocols for fermentation and/or cell culture.
• May be tasked with more complex activities relating to fermentation and insect/mammalian cell culture workflows as they advance in the role.
• Adheres to standards of documentation and reporting.
• Collateral duties may be assigned in discussion with the manager.

• Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment.
