Senior New Product Development Scientist
ICL Specialty Products Inc. seeks a full-time Senior New Product Development Scientist in St. Louis, MO to lead research and technical development for existing and new textured protein products including organizing and participating in pilot plant and large-scale trials to provide recommendations for process and product optimization; creating and contributing to initiatives for new product development and improvement of existing products; performing physical and chemical analyses to evaluate textural and organoleptic properties; working and interacting with global product application development and commercial teams to understand innovation of textured proteins in food products; presenting information to both technical and non-technical audiences; working with ICLs global Front End Innovation to drive strategic R&D collaborations; and contributing to building networks with suppliers, start-ups, and associations.
Requires a Masters degree in Food Engineering, Food Technology, Food Science, or a closely related field and 5 years of experience as an Extrusion Scientist, Food Scientist, Product Developer, or in a related occupation in the Food Science industry to include 3 years of experience with extrusion processing with a focus on plant-based foods.
