NFP Retirement, Inc. is seeking an Intern.
This is a temporary position working with NFP’s Third-Party Administration Team in Plainview, NY. The temporary position will be in-person and will work primarily with the IFTI Team on a variety projects related to pension plan design and administration and investment advisory as it pertains to Qualified Plans.
The position requires day to day work with a variety of internal NFP systems and vendor retirement plan vendor sites to assist in accessing files, producing and reviewing reports, monitoring investment risk, and tracking financial markets.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Support the investment advisory team (APFS) in all functions.
· Assist with the team that designs, implements, and administers Defined Benefit Plans an any associated Defined Contribution Plans.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
· Ability to express ideas clearly and succinctly in both written and verbal communications.
· Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with a positive attitude, proactive mindset, and entrepreneurial spirit.
· Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
· Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and prioritize needs of the team.
Education and/or Experience:
· Strong Working Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams and Word.
· Ability to communicate and interface effectively, efficiently and professionally with internal team members, external NFP vendors.
Physical Demand: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and carry materials weighing 10-20 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

The hourly range for this position is $18.00 – $25.00. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
