Job Description:
Apex Systems is hiring a FULLY REMOTE QA Analyst for a large healthcare company.
Position Purpose:
Develop and document test requirements, test design, and test plan reviews to match software features to user requirements.
Story Behind the Need:
The VBC Dev team assists the VBC project in the build out of new requests, features, and capabilities related to the Value Based Reporting. The VBC Dev team currently runs validations on the monthly reports, and we are going to be taking over additional validations from the business in an attempt to automate them and shorten the overall validation effort. We work closely with the other VBC Teams (Production and Reporting) as all three teams work to deliver VBC reports to providers on time and accurately each month.
Typical Day in the Role:
The Quality Assurance Analysts will assist in our new initiative to take over VBC report validations from the business and expand our current validation process. They will help to convert existing manual validation processes and spreadsheets into automated solutions utilizing Snowflake, Power BI, and other solutions to verify that the Snowflake Pipeline and physical provider reports are accurate and communicate the validity of the reports, as well as any errors, to the entire VBC team and out business partners.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in IT, related field, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of software development life-cycle experience. Experience with generally accepted QA methodologies and best practices. General understanding of programming languages such as Oracle, Unix and JAVA preferred.
License/Certification: ITIL Certificate or obtain within 18 months of hire.
