Position: IFRS Accountant
Location: This position is 100% remote and would be full time with core working hours of 10am-5pm EST.
Duration: Long term contract
Rate: up to $50.00/hour depending on skills and experience
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant with 5–7 years of relevant experience to join our dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in systems and data analytics, and a passion for working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. The ideal candidate will bring industry expertise, technical proficiency, and a collaborative personality to the table.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex reconciliations and financial data analysis across multiple systems.
- Support financial reporting and compliance requirements under tight deadlines, including occasional late nights and weekend work.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions and add-ins for financial analysis and reporting.
- Work with tools such as SAP, MicroStrategy, Power BI, and Power Query to manage and analyze financial data.
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the insurance, reinsurance, or investments industry.
- Strong systems and data analytics skills.
- Proficiency in Excel (including add-ins, Power Query, macros, index/pivot tables).
- Experience with SAP, MicroStrategy, Power BI.
Preferred Experience:
- CPA (Certified Professional Accountant) designation preferred but not required

Hope to get someone on the team to help backfill. FTE. Pat retiring in April . Sr level accountant. Partly to replace her time on the project and to plan for Pats retiring.
$90k TBD + bonus 5-10% bonus ***pull Gartner data for market rates
