Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Python Backend Service Developer to join the Emerging Technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs using Python. The role involves collaboration with front-end developers, data engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless and efficient solutions that will drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services and applications using Python and related frameworks.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to support front-end functionalities.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Debug and resolve technical issues and production incidents.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.
• Create or modify databases to improve functionality and integrate data storage solutions as needed.
• Develop tools and processes to monitor service activity.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python programming language with 3 years’ experience as a Python developer.
• Strong knowledge of Python and related frameworks with a focus on optimization and scalability.
• A deep understanding and multi-process architecture and the threading limitations of Python.
• Familiarity with server-side templating and ability to integrate multiple data sources.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of security standards and best practices to be followed in Python programming.
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including version control systems such as Git
