The Operational Risk Management Programs Risk Officer I is a subject matter expert responsible for the development, implementation and execution of the Scenario Analysis and CCAR operational risk program. This includes facilitating complex cross-functional initiatives that enable the proactive management of operational risks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Provide guidance, subject matter expertise, and oversight over the Scenario Analysis & CCAR program.
2. Participate in the oversight, execution and documentation of scenario analysis exercises that ensure appropriate identification, assessment, monitoring, reporting, and mitigation operational risk at Truist.
3. Assist in forecasting of operational risk losses as part of routine CCAR processes.
4. Assist in ensuring program components meet regulatory expectations and are aligned with industry best practices.
5. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders in all Business Units and second-line functions related to scenario exercises and Operational Risk CCAR-related activities.
6. Stay abreast of material and emerging risks, issues related to Risk Management, business process automation and design and other relevant disciplines and incorporate new learning into work processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. 7 years of banking or related management experience.

3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Proficiency in data analysis and/or risk modeling.
5. Possess and demonstrate strong operational risk management knowledge, leadership and decision-making skills.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders and interact effectively with all levels of management.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present issues, observations, and recommendations
6. Adept with Microsoft Office products


Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master of Business Administration, Risk Management, or relevant Master's degree.
2. Graduate of Leadership Development Program, Banking School, or equivalent industry training program
3. Direct experience with Operational Risk Losses and/or CCAR stress testing and regulatory requirements.
