Position: Sr. Power Automate Developer
Location: 100% Remote
Hourly Pay Range: flexible based on experience
Position Summary: Our client is looking for a Power-Automate Developer who has worked extensively in the MS Dynamics space. This candidate will not need to have any functional expertise. The software is a very specific proprietary dynamics product built by a third party vendor called Sensei IQ.
Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:
- Automation Development:
- Design, build, and maintain Power Automate workflows to support project plan syncing, contract tracking, and budget forecasting.
- Implement logic for syncing project plans from Microsoft Project for Web into Sensei IQ, including resource, time, and rate data.
- Platform Integration:
- Integrate Sensei IQ with project management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project for Web, and Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Ensure seamless data synchronization across platforms to support accurate timesheet logging and reporting.
- Data & Reporting:
- Support the generation of reports using Microsoft Power BI for tracking employee time, OpEx/CapEx budgets, and project costs.
- Maintain data consistency across project plans to improve forecasting accuracy and resource management.
- Resource Management Support:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve limitations in task assignment, particularly the inability to assign tasks to generic resource roles in Project for Web.
- Help mitigate issues related to resource overbooking and skewed utilization data.
- Contract & Budget Tracking:
- Develop solutions to ensure manually entered contracts are included in forecasts despite processing delays.
- Track committed budgets and forecast total project costs by combining hours, time, materials, and contract data.
- Process Improvement:
- Assist in the standardization of project planning tools into Microsoft Project for Web.
- Participate in screen-sharing sessions to demonstrate automation logic, project plan linking, and resource mapping.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with Power Automate and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project for Web, JIRA, and Azure DevOps integrations.
- Experience with Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
- Strong understanding of project portfolio management and resource planning concepts.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex automation workflows.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with third-party platforms like Sensei IQ.
- Knowledge of OpEx/CapEx budgeting and forecasting methodologies.
- Familiarity with low-code/no-code automation environments.
