Position Summary:
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic and collaborative NeuroHospitalist team. This is a hospital-based position working a 7on/7off schedule that offers exposure to a wide spectrum of neurological conditions in an advanced clinical environment.
You will work alongside supervising physicians, residents, and multidisciplinary teams including NeuroICU, Neurosurgery, and the Stroke team. While a background in neuroscience ICU, stroke, or neurohospitalist care is preferred, we also welcome new graduates eager to pursue a career in inpatient neurology. The position offers hands-on learning, including the opportunity to train in procedures like lumbar punctures.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-level inpatient care for patients with complex neurological conditions

Collaborate closely with physicians, residents, and specialty teams

Participate in rounds, care planning, and patient management

Perform or train in procedures such as lumbar punctures

Contribute to clinical research, if interested

Maintain consistent 7on/7off scheduling

QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
- EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Physician Assistants (PA): Must have a PA license through the state of TX.
