Job Description:
CERTIFICATION: Department of Defense (DoD) IAT II or higher (i.e., Security+) and a Computing Environment Certification
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic team in a role as a Senior Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Oracle software upgrades and patch management, monitoring database performance, and creating documentation for database design, development, and maintenance activities. They will have expertise in High Availability, replication technologies, SQL tuning, backup and recovery support, installation of Oracle software configuration, partitioning of tables and indexes, partition maintenance, archiving, capacity, and planning.
Responsibilities:
· Manage and maintain Oracle databases in the data center
· Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Oracle databases within the data center
· Manage backup solutions to prevent data loss
· Responsible for overseeing all phases of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for database systems
· Ensure Information Assurance and doctrinal compliance of all database systems
Knowledge/Experience must include:
- Customer Service/Support
- Excellent Oral/Written Communication
- Ticketing System Experience (e.g., BMC Remedy/ServiceNow/SolarWinds/Ivanti)
- Oracle, SQL, and Red Hat Linux management
- Microsoft Windows and Office Suite
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree or HS/GED + minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle database administration
- Baseline Certification (required): DoD IAT II or higher
- Computing Environment Certification in at least 1 area (required): Oracle Certified Professional
- Training (required): Must complete an ITIL training course (ITIL v4 recommended and will be provided)
