





The Network and Telecom Engineer II is responsible for administering and maintaining all Mountain Park Health Center’s Information Technology (IT) enterprise network and telecom platforms and services. This role assists in researching, designing, and implementing new technologies, services, and solutions supporting the organization. The Network and Telcom Engineer II will independently manage at least two major platforms or services within the scope of responsibility of the Network and Telcom group.
Essential Functions
- Handles the procurement, acquisition, inventory, and disposition of network and telecommunications hardware and software.
- Administers and manages information systems.
- Collaborates with the Network Engineer III in execution of strategic plans.
- Installs and supports local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, Internet, Intranet, and telecommunication systems hardware and software.
- Analyzes and isolates network, firewall, and telecommunication issues.
- Assists in the evaluation and modification of system performance and performs system and architectural improvements.
- Maintains integrity of the network, telecommunications, and security of those systems.
- Architects, engineers, installs, and deploys networks and various networking components.
- Performs network email address assignment, assigns routing protocols, and routing table configuration.
- Acts as mid-tier escalation point for networking and telecommunication support.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
- Travel to multiple locations during shift and within a reasonable amount of time.
- Performs other duties as required.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; and
- Four (4) years of IT experience; or
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and
- Seven (7) years of IT experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of telecommunications engineering experience.
- Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) or equivalent experience.
- Cisco, Firewall, Telecommunications, network monitoring systems, and Aruba experience.
- SDWAN, SaaS, Datacenter, and enterprise networking level experience.
