Position Summary:We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in NERC Operations and Planning (O&P) standards compliance, specifically NERC 693. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain compliance documentation and processes that ensure audit readiness and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and revise internal procedures to ensure compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Operations and Planning (O&P) standards.
- Maintain and update the Compliance & Excellence (C&E) Team’s Roles and Responsibilities (R&R) matrix for all NEET operating companies.
- Support the migration of compliance documentation to NEET’s new Document Management System.
- Create and update Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets (RSAWs) to ensure high-quality, audit-ready documentation.
- Coordinate and review evidence for Sustainability Assessments in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Assist with additional compliance-related tasks, including MIDAS reporting and implementation readiness for FERC Order 881 (Ambient Adjusted Ratings), as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in NERC O&P compliance or utility regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience in developing and executing NERC O&P compliance programs.
- Strong knowledge of NERC 693 standards and audit preparation.
- Experience working with a NERC Regional Entity or Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) is a plus.
- Familiarity with compliance software tools and document management platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
