The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Northwell Health and The Zucker School of Medicine seeks dynamic Board Certified/Board Eligible OBGYN to join our Lenox Hill Hospital team as we expand our Women's Health services across the Health System.

This unique opportunity at Lenox Hill Hospital provides care to women of all ages, from adolescents to seniors and everyone in between. Our renowned experts track your health throughout pregnancy, using top technology to treat you and your baby as-needed. We use 3D and 4D ultrasound, fetal MRI and fetal echocardiogram to monitor your baby's health inside the womb. We're one of the first teams in the nation to get accreditation for detailed anatomical survey of the fetus in the first trimester (as early as 11 weeks of pregnancy), and one of a few teams in New York City who can assess preeclampsia risk in the first trimester.

Northwell Lenox Hill Hospital's Center for Maternal-Fetal Medicine is the first and only such facility in New York State to receive a Detailed First Trimester Obstetrics Ultrasound accreditation from the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM). The multidisciplinary medical association of more than 9,000 healthcare professionals recognizes the hospital for its comprehensive first trimester anatomical evaluations. To earn the coveted accreditation, Lenox Hill had to demonstrate adherence to AIUM's rigorous requirements and proficiency in the imaging and identification of more than 60 fetal body parts.

In addition to offering routine nuchal translucency scans, which measure the thickness of the fluid buildup at the back of a fetus' neck to assess for genetic conditions like Down syndrome, the center distinguishes itself as one of just a few in the nation to conduct detailed anatomical evaluations by ultrasound for a myriad of birth defects during the first trimester. These efforts have been praised by the AIUM, which noted that the medical facility has been exceeding nationally recognized standards in performance and interpretation of diagnostic ultrasound examinations.

Northwell Lenox Hill Hospital is renowned for exceptional and innovative prenatal care. U.S. News and World Report named the hospital the 16th best in the nation for OB/GYN care. Newsweek has also honored the hospital by listing it among its "America's Best Maternity Hospital" list for two years in a row.

Northwell Health is New York State's largest health care provider and private employer, with 21 hospitals, 830 outpatient facilities and more than 16,600 affiliated physicians. We care for over two million people annually in the New York metro area and beyond, thanks to philanthropic support from our communities. Our 76,000 employees - 18,900 nurses and 4,800 employed doctors, including members of Northwell Health Physician Partners - are working to change health care for the better. We're making breakthroughs in medicine at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research. We're training the next generation of medical professionals at the visionary Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and the Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies. Experience a career well cared for and make a difference in the lives of our community.

Northwell Health is committed to training, supporting and nurturing physicians from all backgrounds. We fully understand that diversity is integral for our institutional excellence and a means to attaining health equity. As a result, our diversity and inclusion efforts are a part of everything we do from education to clinical care, to research, to physician well-being.

Diversity and inclusion permeate our educational and clinical initiatives. We have set a goal to make sure every one of our physicians receive training on how to deliver high quality, culturally competent care. Our recent educational areas of focus have been on social determinants of health, community engagement and developing a medical-legal partnership for our physicians-in-training. One of our many strengths is our diverse patient population and our expectation is that our diverse patient populations receive equitable care, irrespective of who they are. As a result, we continually recruit a diverse physician workforce to meet the needs of our diverse patients.
