


Our client, a global hospitality company, is looking for a Social Media Analyst / Listener to join their team. This will be 6 month, remote engagement, 40 hours/week with an option to extend.
This Social Media Analyst / Listener transforms social data into strategic insights that inform the organization's brand, marketing, and customer experience decisions. This role is critical in influencing business outcomes across a global hospitality portfolio, identifying emerging trends, and inspiring culturally relevant content.
Social Media Analyst / Listener responsibilities:
- Build dashboards and define scalable processes that make social listening insights actionable across teams.
- Develop and refine listening rules and real-time alerts aligned with business priorities, brand objectives, and reputational risks.
- Consult on the use of social listening to monitor brand sentiment, track brand health, and assess brand affinity.
- Collaborate with the Social and Influencer Marketing teams to infuse insights that drive authentic community engagement and culturally relevant content.
- Monitor and report on social trends, competitive activity, and viral moments to uncover opportunities for engaging content and audience connection.
- Integrate insights across multiple social platforms, including video-first platforms and limited-access environments, to ensure a holistic view.
- Partner with the Analytics team to evaluate social media performance, define key metrics, and articulate the business impact of social engagement.
Social Media Analyst / Listener Qualifications:
- A minimum of four (4) or more years of experience in an analytics, research, or insights role; 2+ years focusing on analyzing social data.
- Proficient in using social listening tools (Brandwatch preferred) to build queries, categories, tags, and dashboards; experience with Brandwatch is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and synthesize social data into meaningful insights.
- Demonstrated experience transforming complex, high-volume data into clear visualizations and dashboards skilled at turning data into compelling stories that resonate with non-technical audiences.
- Creative thinker with the ability to translate social insights into culturally relevant content ideas and engagement strategies that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Experience working in a global environment and collaborating across diverse teams and time zones.
- Proven ability to partner with marketing stakeholders to inform content strategy, campaign performance, and community engagement.
- Bachelors degree in market research, analytics, engineering, economics, or a related field preferred
