At Lufkin Gears, Baker Hughes team, the Configuration Leader / BOM Negotiator will work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sourcing to ensure BOM's (templates and projects) are complete and accurate. They will also manage item master parameters and help define Make-Buy for items.

As a Lufkin Site Finance Manager, you will be responsible for driving optimal performance ( cost, fulfillment, quality, cash) and profitability through the Supply Chain and Project execution, developing operational plan for own department, and contributing to plan of the larger unit.

As a Lufkin Site Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Lufkin site strategy and execution of manufacturing finance activities, coordinating planning, pacing, and closing activities. Own P&L and balance sheet activities, including cost accounting, inventory controls (PI, Revals, standards, variances, etc.), product fulfillment and COGS booking, functional costs, VCP/BCP, P&E, etc.
  • Preparing and consolidating monthly plant financial analysis, performance reports, KPIs, with deep understanding of variances to plan for pitch outs to upper management
  • Tracking various Projects for Direct Material Productivity, Cost of Quality and absorption optimization at a granular level, recommend actions to get to planned performance. Ensure operational team are engaged and driving projects to closure
  • Driving and supporting business wide activities around base cost management and cash flow management
  • Effective communication with other functional areas required. Influencing peers to meet the objectives
  • Handling work requiring analysis and interpretation. Procedures don't cover all the exceptions. Approaches for exceptions have to be developed
  • Overseeing the preparation of the monthly management accounts for the facility within the timelines set out and provide financial commentary on the same
  • Developing regular redesign of processes due to changing circumstances or management needs. Elaboration of process improvement are expected taking into consideration broader functional context.
  • Providing leadership to financial analyst on site

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Finance).
  • Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Finance Operations
