




Position Summary
Pulmonx is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Medical Education Program Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and optimization of peer-to-peer (P2P) and clinical training programs. This role requires a strategic, systems-minded program manager who can translate business priorities into impactful medical education initiatives and execute complex initiatives with precision, build scalable workflows, and support the growing needs of the Pulmonx organization.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in program design, cross-functional collaboration, vendor coordination, and educational logistics - alongside a passion for delivering impactful learning experiences for healthcare professionals. This individual will play a key role in evolving how Pulmonx trains and supports clinicians, ensuring seamless delivery of our innovative Zephyr Valve education initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Program + Event Execution:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage logistics for all medical education programs (live, virtual, and hybrid), including peer-to-peer and hands-on clinical training events.
- Lead cross-functional alignment across Sales, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to ensure education initiatives drive adoption and clinician engagement.
- Serve as the primary program lead for internal teams, faculty, and external partners to ensure excellent execution and participant experience.
- Leverage data insights and learner feedback to refine program design, enhance participant outcomes, and inform strategic planning.
Project + Workflow Management:
- Build and maintain project timelines, task lists, and status updates using tools like Asana or similar platforms.
- Develop and refine internal workflows for training intake, case readiness tracking, proctoring coordination, and follow-up communications.
- Own program KPIs and outcomes reporting, synthesizing data into actionable insights for leadership and continuous improvement.
Vendor + Partner Oversight:
- Oversee external vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, budget management, and performance tracking to ensuring operational efficiency and ROI.
- Ensure all third-party materials and interactions adhere to Pulmonx's compliance, brand and quality standards.
Technology + Systems:
- Maintain and optimize internal systems for tracking learners, managing training resources, and supporting onboarding (Salesforce, SharePoint, etc.).
- Support virtual learning platforms (e.g., Zoom, Webex) and digital tools used for intake, registration, and post-training surveys.
Content Coordination + Support:
- Collaborate on formatting and updating educational materials (PowerPoint, PDFs, guides), applying strong design and communication skills.
- Create program support materials such as surveys, questionnaires, intake forms, and tracking dashboards.
- Partner with faculty and internal stakeholders to prepare speakers and ensure content readiness for each program.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (degree in a science-related discipline, preferred).
- 3 - 5+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in healthcare, medical education, or nonprofit / consulting settings.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs across multiple stakeholders with tight timelines.
- Strong organizational skills with a knack for systems-building and continuous process improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort with data visualization, surveys, and reporting tools (e.g., SurveyMonkey, SPSS a plus).
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, mission-oriented environment (healthcare, biotech, or nonprofit sectors).
- Background in training delivery, adult education, curriculum coordination, or faculty engagement.
- Experience working with or supporting clinical field teams or physician stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana), GSuite, Microsoft Office, and communication/design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe, Mailchimp).
