Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite in Columbus, OH)

Duration: 12 Months

Experience Level: Mid-Senior (6+ years)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience

Hourly Rate: $45-$55/hr

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Network Engineer to support a major infrastructure initiative—the construction of a new hospital tower. This role involves hands-on network configuration, policy management, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration and performance of network services.

• Configure and manage Network Address Translations (NATs) to support secure and efficient traffic flow.
• Maintain and update firewall policies in alignment with security and operational standards.
• Administer and optimize VMware NSX policies for virtual networking environments.
• Manage and update load balancer groups to ensure high availability and performance.
• Perform VLAN assignments and updates on switch ports to support dynamic network segmentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, clinical staff, and IT teams to align network configurations with project goals.
• Document all network changes and maintain accurate records for auditing and troubleshooting.

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in network engineering.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewall configurations, VLANs, and load balancing.
• Hands-on experience with VMware NSX or similar virtual networking platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in healthcare or hospital IT environments.

• Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
• Office located in Columbus, Ohio.
