Learning & Development Sr Specialist

Under limited supervision, this passionate Learning & Development professional leads the strategic design and implementation of comprehensive training programs for technical developer onboarding and product training. Leveraging extensive instructional design expertise and versatile cross-industry experience, the role creates impactful learning interventions that accelerate developer productivity while delivering measurable business value through excellence in training design and delivery.

This position develops and implements comprehensive technical developer onboarding and training programs, creating strategic guidelines, curriculum, and learning deliverables that drive business success. The role provides expert consultation and coaching in instructional design, curriculum development, and LMS administration while ensuring efficient learning management aligned with established technology standards. The ideal candidate will craft impactful learning solutions that accelerate developer performance, close critical skill gaps, and strategically align workforce capabilities with organizational objectives.

This role directly contributes to measurable business outcomes through learning excellence, including accelerated time-to-code, improved developer satisfaction, reduced support costs, and enhanced team productivity. The position leverages proven L&D methodologies to transform complex technical onboarding into engaging, effective learning experiences that drive both individual and organizational success.

Required Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelors degree with 5+ years of progressive Learning & Development experience

2. Proven track record in instructional design, curriculum development, and training program management

3. Strong foundation in instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and curriculum development

4. Demonstrated ability to design impactful learning solutions that support business goals and drive performance

5. Portfolio demonstrating versatile skill set in training design, delivery, and evaluation across different learning challenges

Preferred Qualifications

1. Masters degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field with 8+ years of L&D leadership experience

2. Cross-industry training expertise spanning Human-Centered Design (HCD), customer service, sales, or technology sectors

3. Passionate advocate for adult learning principles with strong business performance focus

4. Proven ability to elevate learning experiences through innovative instructional design and stakeholder collaboration

5. Strong relationship-building skills with enthusiasm for connecting diverse teams and driving learning success

Primary Job Functions

1. Lead strategic analysis of developer training needs, identifying performance gaps and business requirements

2. Design comprehensive learning architecture that accelerates time-to-productivity for both onshore and offshore developers

3. Design and oversee implementation of blended learning curricula incorporating best practices from multiple industry training approaches

4. Create standardized training frameworks, templates, and evaluation methodologies for consistent onboarding experiences

5. Develop train-the-trainer programs and materials to scale training delivery across offshore and onshore teams

6. Create comprehensive training documentation including facilitator guides, learner workbooks, and assessment tools

7. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure training alignment with technical requirements and business processes
