The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, capital markets and advisory solutions, including a full complement of sales, trading and research capabilities, to corporate, government and institutional clients. The CIB Innovation team, aligned within the CIB Chief Operating Office, is seeking a Markets Innovation Lead to join its leadership team. The Markets Innovation Leader will drive the development and execution of Markets’ innovation strategy and roadmap, in collaboration with senior business and functional leaders across CIB. They will play a crucial role in driving the future of our Markets division, ensuring that our Innovation strategy aligns with our clients' needs and positions Wells Fargo as a leader in financial services. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience within CIB Markets businesses (e.g., Equities, FX, Structured Products, Munis, etc.) along with a strong understanding of AI/GenAI market solutions.

In this role, you will:
- Serve as a Markets subject matter expert and act as a trusted advisor on behalf of the business
- Drive the innovation roadmap, create business cases, and manage investment planning for the Markets innovation work
- Collaborate with senior leaders across CIB, including innovation, technology, and legal/risk/compliance, to ensure the Markets' strategic needs are represented in the CIB Innovation roadmap
- Lead and work with AI Delivery teams, Fintech and GenAI Product Managers, and enterprise tech functions
- Partner and lead SMEs for business requirements, solution design, testing and execution planning
- Design and implement new AI solutions or improvements to current operational processes across end-to-end lifecycles
- Manage engagement and communication with CIB stakeholders at senior levels with a focus on the Markets division
- Engage Business Control and Operational Risk partners when needed to ensure appropriate subject matter knowledge is represented, and develop a wide network of business partners
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Managing Director or Director level experience in Sales and Trading
- Current experience working in the Markets domain within a large financial services institution
- Experience leading AI implementations and workstreams across the business
- Prior experience building relationships with major technology or fintech organizations through the rollout of new software or services
- Prior experience leading cross-functional teams on specific business transformation strategy and execution initiatives, including strong technology knowledge and AI solutions
- Ability to create deep relationships and productive partnerships, while navigating the regulatory, compliance and legal intricacies of working at a highly regulated organization
- Strong communication skills and experience presenting to C-Level executives with the ability to convey complex information and ideas in a clear and simple manner
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals and in a dynamic fast-paced environment
- Knowledge and understanding of current industry trends and ambition to seek new ideas
- Demonstrated experience around inclusivity in leading and the ability to bring along all key stakeholders into the strategy to ensure the business is operating within our risk framework
- High energy with a passion for innovation and developing strategic high-growth partnership models
