About the Role:
This role is for a proactive, results-focused professional who will hit the ground running to enhance WTD's digital landscape. The candidate will provide immediate expertise in Microsoft 365 and Power Platform support and development-focusing especially on SharePoint, Teams, and low-code solutions-to drive digital transformation and operational excellence. They will serve as a linchpin between strategic objectives and tangible day-to-day improvements, ensuring that technology seamlessly supports and accelerates the division's mission.Candidates in this role will be expected to immediately contribute to several high-impact areas, including:
- Microsoft SharePoint and Teams: Launching and rapidly scaling support and development efforts around SharePoint and Teams. This includes optimizing intranet functionality, refining collaboration tools, and integrating UX best practices through wireframing, all aimed at delivering an intuitive, user-centric experience.
- Low-Code Development: Support continuous improvements using low-code solutions. The candidate will work with peers on streamlining processes, automating workflows, and deploying quick-turn deliverables that drive organizational efficiency.
- Documentation & Knowledge Management: Taking immediate ownership of maintaining materials-such as application specifications, user requirements, and training documents-in designated document repositories. This ensures that all interested parties have access to up-to-date, comprehensive resources essential for high-quality service delivery.
- IT Governance Support: Support consultant resources and leadership in developing IT governance. Responsibilities include organizing and maintaining essential documents while tracking progress towards key objectives for leadership.

About the Team:
This role is a member of the Technology & Enterprise Services Unit, in the Finance & Administration section, of the Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD). The Finance & Administration section provides services that include budget development & oversight, capital finance, procurement & contracts administration, technology services, central service administration (i.e. Division Fleet management), accounting, audit & compliance, rates & financial planning, payroll, and billing & accounts receivable.Our unit is responsible for coordinating work with County central service agencies and helping to implement new IT tools for WTD. We strive to be customer focused and deliver excellent service to internal WTD clients in the areas of technology, fleet, risk management, and other administration services that will support successful delivery of capital projects and system operations in a rapidly evolving clean water industry.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Microsoft 365 support, and development, for WTD with a focus on SharePoint and Teams.
- Microsoft Power Platform support, and development, for WTD with a focus on low code.
- Maintain, and help develop, materials for applications and systems in designated document repositories. Example materials: Application specifications, user requirements, and training documents.
- Support IT governance processes.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
Qualifications You Bring:
- SharePoint development experience, commensurate with an early to mid-level career.
- Experience supporting the development of an intranet.
- UX experience, including wireframing, commensurate with an early to mid-level career.
- Low-code development experience with Microsoft or ESRI tools, commensurate with an early career.
- Demonstrated experience streamlining work processes and working cooperatively to produce high quality, seamless customer service.
- Strong communication (oral and written) skills and organization skills.
- Customer Focus - Building strong customer Relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
- Optimizes Work Process - Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Supplemental Information
Working Conditions:
- Remote and Onsite Work Details: Employees in this role work remotely from a home location, with onsite reporting requirements one to two times per month. The frequency of onsite work is determined by business needs and may be adjusted accordingly. Onsite reporting locations may be at various King County worksites including the collaboration space at King Street Center (201 S. Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104). This work arrangement promotes work-life-balance and reduces carbon footprint under the department's vision of Green Where We Work.
- Requirement: Employees must reside in Washington State and be within a reasonable distance to King County worksites to meet onsite reporting requirements.
- Work Schedule: This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.
- Union Representation: This position is represented by the Teamster, Local 117. Pursuant to Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust $1.00 per hour from the base wage will be submitted to the Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust Fund.
