The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, ranging from $85,900-$107,375.

Job Summary

Manages the generator interconnection program for generators interconnecting to the NYSEG and RG&E transmission system, including interaction with the New York Independent System Operator (“NYISO”) and with objectives of timely completion of deliverables and high levels of communication and coordination both internally and externally.

Plans, monitors and manages projects and/or programs. Leads or coordinates project/program planning, resourcing, progress reporting, and troubleshooting. Ensures project/programs results meet requirements. Monitors performance and makes recommendations for project/program improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and manages the generator interconnection program for generator projects moving through the NYISO interconnection process. Coordinates exchange of information among external project developers, the NYISO and internal stakeholders.
• Uses NYISO portal to complete requests and provide documents to create a defensible record of compliance with prescribed deadlines pursuant to FERC Order 2023.
• Develops and negotiates various contractual agreements, including Study Work Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Data Security Riders and Interconnection Agreements. Coordinates with Engineering, Project Management, Legal, Cyber-security, Operations, Risk Management and others on agreement development.
• Manages all security instruments provided to NYSEG and RG&E for customer contributions per procedures, including Cash Deposit, Letters of Credit, Parent Guarantees, Surety Bonds.
• Manages the NYISO Interconnection Admin shared mailbox to ensure all interconnection communications are received and processed timely.
• Monitors progress of interconnection activities and reports to senior management.
• Coordinates efforts of cross-functional project teams. Holds regular program/project status meetings.
• Leads application/study review team to ensure compliance with NYISO timelines and provides expertise and immediacy of decision-making. Holds project team members accountable for results.
• Manages company risk in compliance with department Risk Management Procedures Manual.
• Effectively communicates with executives for decision-making on critical items.
• Represents NYSEG and RG&E before various governmental and/or regulatory entities in matters related in compliance with regulatory directives as needed.

Required Qualifications
