DevOps Engineer (Hybrid in Guadalajara)

We are seeking a DevOps to work with various clients at our delivery center in Guadalajara, MX. Our mission at Apex Systems is providing Insights that Inspire. As DevOps, you will help achieve that mission by giving our clients consultative guidance and technical expertise.
Responsibilities- Deep understanding of AWS services and their implementation and operation. (EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, CloudWatch, Networking, etc.)
- Infrastructure as Code (IAC) development using AWS CDK Typescript:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) with GitHub Actions.
- Integrate automated testing frameworks/tools into the CI/CD pipelines to validate code changes and ensure software quality at each stage of development.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (unit, integration, end-to-end), test-driven development (TDD)
- Future: Code Quality and Scanning with a tool (e.g. SonarQube)
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify performance issues or vulnerabilities in the infrastructure.
- Optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and scalability, and document infrastructure designs and processes for knowledge sharing.
- Project Management with Jira, integrated with GitHub.
- Disaster Recovery leveraging AWS services versioning, vaults, and snapshots.
- Security Monitoring with AWS services Security Hub and Guard Duty
- Adherence to defined KPI’s and Goals
- Input into Hightower DevOps roadmap development processes.
