Under the general direction of the Sr Director, HR Administration & Operations, the Compensation & Job Analyst ensures TrueCare's compensation programs are competitive, equitable, and compliant with applicable laws. This position is responsible for conducting job evaluations, market analyses, and compensation studies to support strategic HR initiatives. The Analyst will maintain job descriptions, support compensation planning, and provide expert guidance on classification and pay practices.
Responsibilities:
- Compensation Strategy & Analysis
- Identify opportunities for compensation program improvements based on data analysis, market trends, and regulatory changes.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to compensation structures, plans, and programs.
- Conduct internal equity and external competitiveness analyses to support compensation decisions.
- Job Evaluation & Classification
- Develop, update, and maintain accurate job descriptions that reflect current responsibilities and requirements.
- Conduct job analyses to determine appropriate classification, FLSA status, and salary range.
- Evaluate new and existing positions for proper classification and compensation alignment.
- Market Benchmarking
- Participate in and analyze salary surveys to assess market competitiveness.
- Benchmark positions using survey data and market intelligence to recommend salary ranges.
- Provide market pricing and compensation recommendations for new roles and organizational changes.
- Compliance & Policy Support
- Ensure compensation practices comply with federal, state, and local laws, including pay equity, minimum wage, and overtime regulations.
- Support the development and maintenance of compensation policies, salary structures, and job classification systems.
- Conduct regular audits of compensation data and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Reporting & Communication
- Prepare and present reports on job evaluations, compensation analyses, and market trends.
- Conduct cost analyses to support budgeting and employee negotiations.
- Communicate compensation strategies and updates to stakeholders effectively.
- Systems & Tools
- Maintain and optimize the use of compensation tools such as PayFactors (Pay Markets, Structures, and Job Description modules).
- Utilize HRIS and data analysis tools to manage and report on compensation data.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration,
- Finance, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in compensation analysis, job evaluation, or related HR functions.
- Strong understanding of compensation principles, job analysis methodologies, and employment law.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, business acumen, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with compensation tools such as PayFactors.
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or progress toward certification.
- Experience in healthcare or nonprofit sectors.
- Familiarity with California-specific labor laws and regulations.

If you are hired at TrueCare, your final base salary (within the pay range), will be determined based on factors such as education, knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members when determining any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer generous benefits and retirement plans.
