






Job Summary: Network Underground P&C Test Technician
The Network Underground P&C Test Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient testing, repair, and maintenance of equipment throughout the state, specifically on the Network Underground System. This includes locations such as Atlanta, Macon, Columbus, Augusta, Athens, Savannah, Gainesville, Waycross, and Valdosta.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform testing and repair of Network Protectors (NWP), which is the primary focus of this position.
- Work collaboratively with NWP Test Technician team and/or Test Engineer to schedule inspections and customer outages and troubleshoot issues within the Network Underground System.
- Operate energized electrical equipment in small spaces which could include enclosed spaces, both below and above ground.
- Lead in safety practices, advocate on safe work procedures and setting high-quality work standards.
- Respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Generate and close out work orders and prioritize work schedules efficiently.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience Required:
- Journeyman certification with relevant experience in the utility industry, OR Proven electrical experience in troubleshooting and maintaining network protectors, OR A minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance.
- Availability for paid overtime and statewide travel.
- Willingness to travel on short notice for extended periods, including overnight stays, weekends, and holidays.
- Working knowledge of various network protectors, such as, CM22, MG8, MG14, CM52, CMD and CMR416.
- This role demands a proactive leader in safety who can ensure high standards of work quality while maintaining flexibility for emergency responses and travel requirements.
