How will you make a difference?

Improving productivity and quality through effective planning and scheduling to include people, parts and materials, and equipment access. Responsibilities also include record and file maintenance essential for meaningful analysis, including root cause failure determination, trending analysis, and reporting of related activities.

What do we want to know about you?

5 years’ experience in Procurement and/or planning in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor’s degree in a business and/or a minimum of three years’ experience in a related manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience in manufacturing routing, materials, MRP, and master scheduling.
Proficient in Oracle, and Microsoft Office Products.
Experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems.

What will your typical day look like?

Maintains the procurement data in the ERP.
Treats in a timely manner the ERP error messages, ordering and expediting materials as required to ensure on-time delivery.
Generate a shortage list from the Open Kitting Allocation and Scheduling Report. Update the shortage list daily.
Release work orders for assembly requirements in MRP and schedule kits to be picked as required.
Update job packets prior to jobs being released to the assembly floor.
Expedite parts from receiving, purchasing, and machine shop.
Process shipping paperwork when jobs have been completed in assembly.
Forecast shipments for the month ($’s and Lines)
Schedule rework and repair of customer warranty items and process shipping paperwork when they are complete.
Give direction to assembly groups. Assign assemblies to be built for the month to assembly techs and determine work schedule to complete build schedule for the month.
Review ECRNs and updates and process paperwork as required for current work orders.
Provide updated costs and lead times for marketing requests.
Assign and direct the work of Material Handlers in a group.
Assist Service Centers when they call.

Desired Characteristics:

Demonstrated ability to tactfully challenge the status quo.
Experience in manufacturing routing, materials, MRP, and master scheduling.
Solid conceptual and analytical thinking and proven ability to solve complex tasks with a high level of ambiguity, under time pressure.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong influencing skills and ability to build lasting relationships across multiple layers in the organization and able to gain the respect of cross-functional organizations.
Highly organized and able to deliver results through others.
Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing is strongly preferred.

The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
