When will you work?
This is an internship position based onsite at our Swedesboro, NJ facility.
What you’ll do:
As a Facilities Engineering Intern, you’ll support the overall upkeep and smooth operation of our lab and office facilities. Working closely with the Facilities Assistant, you’ll take on a variety of responsibilities — from hands-on maintenance tasks to clerical support — all routed through our Facilities ticketing system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform light maintenance on break room and lab equipment (ice machines, water dispensers, filters, etc.).
- Maintain the appearance and functionality of facility spaces, ensuring high standards are upheld.
- Replenish break room supplies and manage sanitation stock levels.
- Support clerical tasks like filing maintenance documents and updating inventory logs.
- Assemble lab and office furniture, install fixtures, and support facility setups.
- Assist with minor repairs and respond to tickets as they’re received.
Who you are:
- A self-starter who enjoys working with their hands and learning new skills.
- Organized and reliable, with strong attention to detail.
- Adaptable and ready to pitch in where needed.
- Someone who communicates clearly and works well both independently and with a team.
What you’ve done:
- Currently pursuing or completed some college coursework or technical school training.
- Experience in a facilities, maintenance, or similar role is a plus.
- Comfortable with minor repairs, using basic tools, and light physical labor.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel or similar tools for basic clerical tasks.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move around for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift and move up to 75 lbs.
