Position Overview
We’re looking for a metrics-minded Email & Text Marketing Specialist to join our high-energy Digital Marketing team and lead the daily execution, optimization, and growth of our email and SMS channels. You will translate strategy into sends—building automated journeys that welcome, engage, and retain millions of car wash guests. As the team’s subject-matter expert in one-to-one messaging, you’ll champion data-driven insights, deliverability, and compliance, while also cross-training with peers to ensure seamless coverage and ongoing knowledge sharing across the Digital Marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
Channel Ownership
End-to-End Campaign Production – Create, QA, secure approvals, schedule, and launch all email/SMS campaigns and automated workflows.
Lifecycle Management – Build and refine nurture, win-back, upsell, and transactional touchpoints that move customers through the funnel.
List Growth & Hygiene – Partner with various team members to capture new opt-ins; monitor list health, deliverability, and compliance (CAN-SPAM, TCPA, CTIA).
Segmentation & Personalization – Deploy dynamic content, preference centers, and audience logic to deliver the right message at the right time.
Testing & Optimization – Run A/B and multivariate tests on subject lines, cadence, creative, and send time; share insights weekly.
Reporting & Insight – Track KPIs (open rate, CTR, CTOR, conversion, unsubscribe, deliverability); surface recommendations to the Director of Digital Marketing.
Platform Expertise – Serve as the in-house power user for our CRM, SMS gateway, and marketing-automation stack; liaise with vendors to unlock new features.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Align with Digital Team and Operations to ensure cohesive customer experiences and emergency communications.
Process Improvement – Document SOPs, maintain QA checklists, and champion scalability as our membership base and location count grow.
Compliance & Governance – Stay ahead of industry regulations, privacy laws, and carrier requirements; educate stakeholders on best practices.
Team Backup & Knowledge Share – Provide backup coverage for other Digital Marketing functions (e.g., social, paid, web) during PTO or high-volume periods; participate in cross-training to build bench strength and ensure seamless channel support.

Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
2-4 years hands-on experience building email and/or SMS campaigns in a modern ESP (e.g., Klaviyo, Iterable, Braze, Salesforce, or similar).
High attention to detail with flawless spelling/grammar and pixel-perfect link checking.
Comfortable dissecting data and translating insights into action.
Proven ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Clear, concise communicator able to write in brand voice and collaborate across teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience with CDPs, customer data segmentation, or SQL/light data queries; preferred
Exposure to loyalty programs, mobile wallet passes, or push-notification campaigns; preferred
