



The U.S. Attomey's Office (USAO) for the Northem District of Texas has a need for two Data Specialists at its Dallas, TX headquarters office to support on-going criminal prosecutions. These positions are located in the USAO's Litigation Technology Unit (LTU) and they are responsible for supporting the e Discovery needs of attorneys and support staff and implementing the USAO's best practices related to Discovery and data workflow.
Two Experienced Litigation Technology Specialist(s) capable of performing the following duties
after initial training by the USAO on specific office procedures, software programs and equipment:
- Provide consulting services to litigation teams in the areas of early case assessment; electronically
stored information ("ESI") collection; - ESI processing; review and analysis of ESI; production of ESI
and other documents. Provide advice to litigation teams on the use of the USAO's Technology
Assisted Review (aka TAR) tools and compliance with discovery obligations, litigation decisions,
trial preparation, and trial presentation. - Perform a wide range of analysis and processing of electronically stored information (ESI) in
support of district litigation activities. - Responsible for hands-on file manipulation, loading, and conversion services.
Assists with the Coordination and collaboration with client agencies to ensure they collect,
review, preserve, and provide to the investigative team ESI which may be used in an
investigation or disclosed in discovery. - Organizes documents for efficient automated storage and retrieval by ensuring that ESI
obtained from agencies, defendants, and third parties in discovery is properly prepared,
processed, and loaded into discovery databases using specialized procedures and appropriate
eDiscovery software. - Reviews ESI obtained in discovery for data integrity, completeness and comption,
identifuing and implementing corrective action.
Candidates MUST possesses the following requisite qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree. Three years of additional, directly relevant work experience (over andabove the minimum experience requirements for this position) may be substituted for thebachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of experience in a litigation support, electronic discovery, and/or technology supportenvironment, preferably within the Government, but a law firm or top eDiscovery vendor isalso acceptable. Experience with eDiscovery technical experience in compiling, analyzing,and synthesizing information to support project task requirements.
- Knowledge of information resources and file types.
- Excellent analytical capabilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to consistently deliver the highest quality work under extreme pressure and tightdeadlines.
- Experience in managing multiple tasks such as those defined in the Duties & Responsibilitiesabove must be demonstrated.
- An understanding of the litigation lifecycle and electronic discovery/document reviewprocesses, procedures and practices is required.
- Experience performing Administrator and Case Manager functions in Relativity.
- Experience with providing end-user support on all Litigation Support applications, includingbut not limited to assisting with end-user training.
- Experience with Relativity, Nuix, Concordance, IPRO Eclipse, Cloud Nine Law, BeyondCompare and other applicable eDiscovery software platforms.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Public Trust Clearance.
