Assistant Director of Corporate Engagement
What you will do:
- Meet or exceed BGCB’s corporate annual fundraising goal of $3.6M+ by securing financial and in-kind support from companies in the greater Boston area.
- Work closely with the VP of Philanthropic Engagement to create a strategic plan focused on increasing revenue from existing partnerships and new revenue sources and creating a strong pipeline of current and future corporate donors.
- In partnership with the VP, develop an annual operating plan and identify key priorities.
- Develop and consistently report upon metrics to track progress and inform success.
- Develop annual revenue/expense projections focusing on ROI and organizational impact.
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of corporate partners to develop meaningful relationships that strengthen BGCB programs and offer effective engagement opportunities to BGCB donors.
- Collaborate with BGCB's Development, Marketing, and Operations teams and its 8 clubs in Boston/Chelsea to create customized, donor-centric partnerships that align with BGCB and the companies’ philanthropic and Corporate Social Responsibility goals/objectives.
- In partnership with the VP, manage the Corporate Giving Committee, comprised of high-level, dynamic and engaged volunteers and donors within Boston’s Corporations. Effectively communicate with committee members and plan and strategize both individual and committee meetings to help drive revenue and meet Committee fundraising goals.
- Work closely with the Corporate and Foundation Engagement Coordinator to plan and execute meaningful corporate volunteer engagement opportunities and stewardship.
- Oversee and ensure the delivery of all promised benefits and agreement specifications for corporate sponsors, adhering to strict deadlines.
- Assist Development leadership with presentations/materials highlighting the benefits of supporting BGCB.
- Provide direct support to Corporate & Foundation Engagement/Events teams with special projects, as needed.
- Update the fundraising database (Raiser’s Edge) with relevant donor information, outreach, progress, and overall strategies.
- Complete special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements
- Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree or corporate business training a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of senior corporate sales experience dealing with clients in the private or non-profit sector, significant corporate fundraising experience, ability to build and sustain donor relationships and proven success in soliciting gifts.
- Exceptional attention to detail; articulate and poised self-starter with ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
- Ability to project and track revenue, adjusting business plans as needed to achieve goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to make presentations to senior level groups as well as to build one-on-one relationships with members of diverse constituencies at all levels of authority; exemplary organizational and writing skills.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills and knowledge of database applications (including Raiser’s Edge).
- Team player with willingness to adapt to new and evolving organizational and funding priorities.
- Willingness to travel between Main Office and local Clubs and work occasional evenings and early mornings as events/project deadlines require.
- Other duties and special projects as required.

Pay Range Depending on Relevant Experience & Internal Equity
