The Role
Reporting to the RVP, Brand and Community, Bunkhouse and JdV by Hyatt, The Director, Brand and Content develops new brands and the overall style for the Bunkhouse Hotels and JdV by Hyatt brands, creates and manages all content (print, digital, and social), establishing and evaluating social media channels, as well as maintains social media profiles, reports on social media performance, establishes the photography style and maintains vendor relationships. The person in this position must have good communication skills, the ability to resolve conflict, and a passion for lifestyle and travel brands. The Director of Brand and Content must develop and maintain the brands’ culture, values and reputation in the public eye, and with all staff, guests, vendors and partners.
Responsibilities will include:

Bring brands to life as the lead copywriter and brand developer, translating visions into compelling visuals and messaging.

Lead the creative direction for various projects, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and vision.

Manage all photography and video shoots, along with the Marketing managers, determine timing, hire the photographer, create the shot-list, manage the shoot with the GM and the photographer, and provide payment to the photographer within the scope of the budget provided for both property content and event / festival related content.

Oversee all social media strategy implementation and posting with the assistance of the marketing point person for each property – including direct message management.

Manage the Art Team providing support and direction on projects, deliverables, collateral and content as it relates to all brands.

Oversee email marketing and monthly newsletters.

Create pitch decks for new projects.

Manage the vanity websites for Bunkhouse Hotels, providing updated copy and photography as needed to the property marketing managers.

Launch new social media channels with a thoughtful strategy designed to drive revenue and create brand engagement.

Manage photography and video assets through third party relationships.

Determine the overall look for photography across all print and digital assets (local and national advertising, email blasts, etc.).

Coordinate with General Managers, Public Relations team and Retail team to understand and support property priorities.

Provide regular reporting and communication on social media and email progress and performance.

Effectively communicate Bunkhouse Hotels and JdV by Hyatt brand voices through imagery and copy.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining a high standard of quality.

Provide guidance and support to individual properties, members of the marketing team and outside vendors for additional content capture as needed.

Attend and lead relevant meetings.

Travel to properties as needed to capture content.

Identify relevant third-party social media contacts for cross-promotion – including influencer engagements for marketing purposes.

Partner with RVP, Brand and Community, develop relevant social media goals and achieve them.

Develop and support organizational knowledge about effective social media strategies, guidelines and goals.

Establish and maintain vendor relationships – photographers and videographers.

Develop departmental objectives, budgets, policies, procedures, and strategies.

Demonstrate a working understanding of labor cost control through effective scheduling and self-management.

Establish and maintain cost improvement objectives and implement action plans if necessary.

Ensure open lines of communication with staff and properties via email, meetings, etc., to ensure all needs of the brands are met.

Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos and verbal instruction.
Qualifications
Experience Required
-
High School diploma or general education degree (GED). College Degree preferred.

Five (5) years related experience in social media marketing.

Ability to manage multiple schedules of content at one time.
-
Ability to manage others who execute social media posts.
-
Ability to speak effectively before groups of co-workers and sister property staff
-
Ability to create documents in Excel, Word, Canva and Wordpress.

Ability to understand other computer programs (i.e. Property Management System) and software.
