PURPOSE:
The Director, Corporate Development will play a leading role within the Corporate Development Division, which is broadly responsible for evaluation of various strategic initiatives and specifically responsible for executing mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and partnerships. In this capacity, he/she will spearhead various analytical efforts within the group while developing and managing relationships with key leaders/stakeholders within various business units. The position reports to the SVP, Corporate Development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Identify strategic investment or divestment opportunities across the broker/dealer, wealth management and financial technology sectors.
- Develop the strategic rationale for acquisitions or divestitures.
- Assist in managing cross-functional teams for acquisition and divestiture processes including due diligence, strategic analysis, valuation, synergy identification, etc.
- Maintain and/or build complex and detailed financial and valuation models as appropriate.
- Assist in the development of recommendations to executive management and the Board.
- Develop relationships across various business units and their leadership.
- Determine the best approach to analyzing and synthesizing data and work independently to solve complex problems.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position manages people.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree.
Education Details: Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Healthcare Management, or related field.
Experience: 8 years progressively responsible work experience that draws upon analytical abilities and 3 years managerial experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
Salary Range: $165,840 - $307,841
