Job Summary
The Content Designer 2 will play a key role in improving the customer experience through impactful content writing for digital and non-digital platforms. This position combines content strategy and copywriting to create compelling narratives and interface language within our products and services. The Content Designer 2 will work with research, service design, product design, product managers, marketing strategists, analytics, and CX leadership. They will craft language to solve pain points, empower customers, and influence stakeholders with clear rationale and engaging storytelling. They will also gather and integrate feedback, creating energy and alignment through strategic visions and creative innovation.
Essential Functions of the Role
- Advance BSWH customer experiences with excellent content strategy and copywriting. Write, edit, and test content using clear and inclusive language, terminology, labels, narratives, and descriptions.
- Contribute strong design thinking and reasoning to create a content strategy. Ensure it scales across our products and services, including guidelines in the BSWH Design System.
- Coach and mentor other Content Strategists and team members. Provide direct feedback, critique, and strategic direction to improve the experience.
- Write compelling copy for digital and non-digital platforms. This includes emails, messages, push notifications, the MyBSWHealth app, and bswhealth.com.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and execute the content strategy. This strategy supports BSWH system initiatives like customer journey transformation and consumer solutions.
- Develop content that educates our audience about BSWH products and services, driving them to take action.
- Project manage content strategy and copywriting needs across the end-to-end customer experience.
- Proudly present your work to stakeholders and be receptive to feedback.
- Continually learn the latest platforms and technology tools.
- Collaborate closely with researchers and designers to bring compelling stories and copy to life.
- Partner with marketing to extend our brand story. Use a consistent voice and tone that is easy for customers to understand.
- Create an exciting message for different platforms. Use a landing page for detailed information. Send a push notification for quick updates.
Key Success Factors
- Have 3-5 years of experience in content design or writing in a professional environment. Demonstrate solid writing, editing, and storytelling skills to elevate the BSWH customer experience.
- Impressive creative portfolio or samples demonstrating your awesome work, including the ability to demonstrate a diverse range of projects.
- Self-starter with effortless communication/presentation skills, natural collaborator.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to develop copy that supports goals, sometimes with minimal direction.
- A storyteller can weave narratives about products or services to customers. They understand and empathize with customers' pain points.
- Comfortable working across multiple product verticals and channel types. Collaborates with various internal stakeholders to create and deliver high-quality content that drives results and makes customers smile.
- Keen interest in understanding the BSWH's markets, customers, and competition.
- Exceptional strategic mindset and content strategy lens.
- Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices for digital content and experience coordinating multi-channel creative content across various mediums.
- A love for content, and the ability to juggle many content projects at once.
- Passion for the customer journey and the newest trends, tools, and best practices.
- Comfortable working under pressure in a complex and sometimes ambiguous environment with minimal supervision.
