Aquent Studios is looking for experienced an Packaging Design/Production Artist with experience in the Beauty Industry!
This posiiton requires you to be on site 2 days a week – preferably Tuesday and Wednesday
We are seeking an experienced Print Designer to oversee US packaging adaptations of DMI designs, as well as create and execute promotional packaging for US retailers.
In this role, you will work closely with cross functional and creative teams to ensure that the packaging is both visually appealing and compliant with all regulations.
The ideal candidate blends technical expertise, creative vision, and strong collaboration skills.
Key Job Accountabilities:
* Manage and execute tasks involved with packaging localization for US markets.
*Translate the brand image into promotional packaging.
*Support the Creative team with outsourcing shade retouching, CMYK extraction and ordering product comps.
*Work on various design and production projects with US Creative team.
*Cross functional interaction (Global team, Packaging Development, Brand Activation Lead team, etc)
*Work with external suppliers: retoucher, production house and comp house...etc.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
* Share Global packaging artwork with US Creative team
* Review localized mechanicals against Global packaging artwork
* Review online and printed proofs against Global match prints and approved US mechanicals
* Coordinate and partner with Global team on edits and specs
* Attend Artwork Status meetings (4-5 meetings a week)
* Attend press checks (Up to 10 times a year, US locations)
* Review production sample books for color range*o Download final packaging files and save on the server for US Creative team
Promotional Packaging
* Design promotional packaging for retailers (CostCo, Sam's Club, etc) and seasonal moments, execute from design to production: color work, proofing, press check.
*Comps (US packaging)
*Source and manage product comp requests for Marketing and Sales teams (twice a year)

Required Qualifications
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $45 to $50/HR Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
