

Manlius Pebble Hill School seeks an Associate Director for Alumni Engagement to join our Development Team with a desire to foster and strengthen meaningful connections between the school and its alumni community. Established in 1970 when the Manlius School and Pebble Hill School merged, MPH is the ‘tale of two schools,’ each bringing their own history and alumni community to Manlius Pebble Hill.
This role presents an outstanding opportunity to become a key player in advancing the mission of Central New York's only independent school and building strong connections between MPH and generations of interesting and successful alumni.
The Associate Director for Alumni Engagement is responsible for fostering meaningful connections between the school and its alumni community. This role provides strategic leadership to develop and execute engaging programs and services that enhance alumni involvement and support institutional philanthropy. This position is part of a small, collaborative team that values a proactive and flexible approach.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic alumni engagement initiatives to strengthen alumni connections and encourage philanthropic support.
- Plan and execute a comprehensive alumni outreach plan.
- Provide strategic leadership for major alumni recognition programs.
- Establish and oversee a reunion giving program.
- Assist Development Team colleagues with the execution of the annual alumni solicitation plan.
- Oversee alumni communications and alumni social media content.
- Maintain archives and student records relevant to alumni relations.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- Experience in alumni relations, fundraising, or related fields is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative engagement and fundraising strategies.
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, integrity, and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Availability to travel for regional events, work evenings, and weekends for events and programming.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge, Google applications, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- MPH School alum preferred but not required.
- Previous independent school, collegiate, or non-profit fundraising/development and volunteer management experience, a plus
- Experience with organizational social media and/or design, a plus
- Command of office technology tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Raiser’s Edge database
Compensation and Information to Apply
